Condition is Very Good+, bound in full green leather with gilt emblems on the front and rear panel of each volume, gilt titles and raised bands at spine; leather overlaps one inch to inside covers with gilt decorations, red silk block inside covers, gilt initials inside front cover on silk block and stiff front and rear end papers fronted with red silk. Minor wear to leather along spine edge at front panel of a few volumes, a few small bumps to edges of a few volumes, some minor lifting to silk blocks inside cover of a few volumes, otherwise set is Near Fine. Texts are clean and unmarked. Color frontispeice and a few color illustrations in each volume. No date or publisher mentioned, however Morgan  mentions a Weimar Edition published in 1902 by Nicolls, Boston, complete in 14 Vols, matching this set. Contents includes Faust (in two volumes) , Poetical Works (in two volumes) , Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship (in two volumes) , Iphigenia in Tauris, Truth and Fiction Relating to My Life (in two volumes) , Letters from Switzerland, Sorrows of Young Werther, Wilhelm Meister's Travels, and the Life of Goethe (Third Edition) (in two volumes) written by George Henry Lewes. Weimar reference and special binding pays homage to Weimar Classicism, the label for the particular time when Goethe was at a critical intellectual and creative juncture in attempting to conjoin the traditions of feeling and thought (subject and object).
