Album housing has a few chips and tears, mostly to edges. Some cracking to edges. Interior remarkably clean, photos intact and clean. Tissue pages show a bit of toning. Scarce photo album circa 1965, capturing the world tour untaken by the University of the Seven Seas, now called the "Semester at Sea," a study-abroad program that takes place on a ship. This particular photo book is from an early voyage, most likely from 1965 given the state of construction of the roof of the Sydney Opera House pictured. Photos include dancers, many of local people and life, architecture, and more. Starting in Los Angeles, this album includes photos along the way from Australia, through Singapore, the African coast, and a few spots in the Mediterranean. The boat, named "Seven Seas," used for this voyage, was a former WWII aircraft carrier, converted to the sea-bound school. ; 10" x 8 3/4"
